“Que vau ben a l’aubre, vau ben au frui”

This Provençal proverb reminds us that ‘whoever cares for the tree cherishes the fruit.’ A precious fruit cultivated and preserved by their family, Anne and Caroline learned the virtues and benefits of olives long ago – more than just the ‘green gold’ that came out of it is the oil, patiently developed like many great wines.
The olive oil collected at Mas de la Dame is the result of several olive varieties, all Protected Designation of Origin (PDO): the Grossane, Salonenque, Verdale, Picholine and Aglandau. The manufacturing process for this artisanal product has changed little through the generations. Olives are picked by hand and immediately pressed with the greatest care.
In their childhood memories were olive-picking days at Mas de la Dame, in which women’s discussions told them how a few drops of this precious nectar could repair and enhance any type of hair, or how after hours picking, their hands were so soft – as if repaired by these precious drops. An ancient beauty secret handed down from one generation to the next.

In fact, olive oil contains a pure cocktail of benefits for skin, hair and nails. Naturally rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and polyphenols, it moisturises, tones and revitalises skin. An excellent healing agent, olive oil also possesses a high concentration of vitamin E, giving it protective, soothing and antioxidant properties.
The two sisters, remembering these stories and secrets from their childhood, chose to reserve a part of their harvest for their beauty line: from then on, Mas de la Dame olive oil would also be at the heart of the Clos des Oliviers line.

For Clos des Oliviers products, we endeavoured to create gentle formulas for the entire family, with 96% of ingredients from natural origins and paraben- and silicone-free.
